Nursing concepts foundational to care of well/ill clients. Nursing process, nurse/client roles, communication, relationship, basic needs and teaching learning theories will be introduced.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This introductory course is designed to provide the foundational material for all subsequent nursing courses. The course is closely correlated with the concurrent nursing practice course. Nursing concepts which underlie the nursing care of well/ill clients across the age spectrum of young adult through senescence will be explored. Nursing process, nurse/client roles, communication theory, basic needs of clients, and teaching/learning theory will be explored.
