For a panel in the program of the 2007 American Literature Association annual convention, the William Dean Howells Society invites paper proposals that examine the work of William Dean Howells in reviews. Possible topics may include Howells’s own publications as a book reviewer, other critics’ reviews of Howells’s work, or Howells’s responses to the work of other reviewers.
